You’d better submit some poetry
’cause if you don’t I will kill thee
The method of which
I know not yet
but this I will do
you’d better you bet
I could chop off your balls
put them in a cup
or nail you to walls
hang you right up
I could slice off your toe
watch you bleed to death
or shoot with one blow
to take that last breath
But Oh! Mr. Poet
your life I would spare
for just a few poems
perhaps if you dare
The choice is yours
some poems or the knife
’cause for me Mr. Poet
poems are my life

There will always be a poem
I will climb on top of it and come
In and out of time,
Cocking my head to the side
slightly,
As I finish shaking, melting then
Into its body, its soft skin
Jim Carroll, “Poem” from “Void of Course” (1998)
Poet who wrote, among others, “The Basketball Diaries,” (movie-DeCaprio) and who died 9-11-2009. He would agree with you. You might know his song “Catholic Boy,” (movies-“E.T.” & “Dawn of the Dead”) from “People Who Died” album–late 1970s punk musician and considered the best poet of his generation. Thanks for your poem. Keep writing.
Ooooo… spooky piece here, Dakasky! You’re not being held prisoner somewhere.. forced to write poetry… by some Annie Wilkes type fan of yours, are you?? If yes, just throw the pink bunny rabbit at her and run!! 😉
hmmmm…. ok… where have you been? no new poetry or comments?? Are you really being held capive after all?! I might have to come looking for you.. I’ll bring an army of pink bunnies with me to save you! lol
Ahhh – I started a new job and have been super-busy with all that. But rest assured me and my little furry friends will be catching up on here tomorrow or Monday! Thanks for thinking of me! That’s sweet.
