The
Power
of Tongue
to slice
or to love
to express
or to say
what we’re thinking of
Biologically
the strongest
muscle of all
could shoot words of death
like a cannonball
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM
soft and slimy
able to taste
yet words are spoken
with waste & haste
Death to the lies
Death to the hate
Death to everyth….
No – Wait ! WAIT !
Care what you say
Care what you do
Nothing will happen
Unless you choose
to speak only Love
to say only Truth
accompanied by mouth
assisted by tooth
Yes
Often things are best conveyed
Without tongue in action
Silently say
nothing
nothing
ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh….

Nice work here Sir Dakasky. I especially like:
“the strongest
muscle of all
could shoot words of death
like a cannonball
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM
soft and slimy
able to taste
yet words are spoken
with waste & haste
Death to the lies
Death to the hate
Death to everyth….
No – Wait ! WAIT !”
I like what you have to say… – Nisa

So true.I enjoyed this poem. You’re definitely not tongue tied.
the power of tongue—indeed..
and the images in tthe photo-nice ‘illustration’–enjoying your work here…
great piece. I especially loved the part:
“Death to everyth….
No – Wait ! WAIT !”
And, how it then turned from negative to positive – so quickly. gotta love a happy ending once in a while. 😉
My favorite part too. We all catch ourselves saying mean things. It’s stoping once we catch ourselves that matters!
